We are excited to have you as part of our soccer family. Our mission is to develop skilled, disciplined, and respectful players while fostering a love for the game. This handbook outlines our club policies, expectations, and resources to ensure a successful and enjoyable season.

Commitment
Attend all practices and games unless excused.
Arrive on time and be prepared with proper equipment.
Communicate absences in advance to the coach.
Sportsmanship & Conduct
Show respect to coaches, teammates, referees, and opponents.
Display a positive attitude on and off the field.
Refrain from foul language, arguing, or unsportsmanlike behavior.
Follow club rules and represent Lebanon Soccer Club with pride.
Practice & Game Readiness
Bring proper gear: cleats, shin guards, uniform, water bottle.
Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Listen to coaching instructions and put forth your best effort.

Support & Encouragement
Encourage your child’s development and love for the game.
Promote a positive atmosphere on the sidelines.
Let coaches handle in-game decisions—cheer but do not coach.
Respect & Communication
Respect referees, coaches, players, and other parents.
Address concerns respectfully with coaches (outside of game time).
Help maintain a culture of good sportsmanship.

Attendance & Absences
Players should notify their coach in advance if they will miss a game or practice.
Unexcused absences may result in reduced playing time.
Playing Time
Playing time is based on effort, attitude, attendance, and skill level.
Coaches aim to provide fair opportunities for all players, but playing time will not be even for all players.
Uniforms & Equipment
Players must wear club-issued uniforms for games.
Proper footwear and shin guards are required.
Weather Policy
Lightning & Thunder: Play must be stopped immediately if lightning is detected within 10 miles or if thunder is heard. A 30-minute waiting period is required after the last detected lightning strike or thunder before resuming play.
Extreme Heat: Games may have mandatory water breaks, shortened halves, or be rescheduled based on temperature and heat index.
Heat Index 90-99°F: Mandatory water breaks every 20 minutes; reduced game length may be considered.
Heat Index 100-104°F: Additional water breaks required; game length may be further shortened.
Heat Index 105°F and above: Games and practices should be postponed or canceled for player safety.
Cold Weather: Matches and practices may be postponed or adjusted if temperatures drop below a safe level (often below freezing with wind chill considerations).
Tornado Warnings or Severe Storms: Practices will be suspended or canceled in the event of a severe weather warning in the area.

Players are expected to practice outside of scheduled sessions.
Coaches provide skill development drills and tactical training.
Strength, conditioning, and injury prevention are emphasized.

Any injury must be reported to the coach immediately.
Players with concussions must have medical clearance before returning.
Parents should ensure players are fit to participate.

Coaches will provide updates via email, team apps, or social media.
Parents and players should check for schedule changes regularly.
